Meet the Author

The boys and girls at Seabreeze had the chance to meet a real, live author. On Thursday, Patty Smith Roberts came to our school and read one of her wonderful books, Willis the Warthog. Mrs. Roberts has traveled to Africa many times and was inspired to write children's books to go with her amazing photographs. Ms. Roberts stories are inspiring and full of rich, important lessons for people of all ages. We had such a fun time hearing about her travels! The little ones were mesmerized by her presence. Thank you, Ms. Roberts, for coming to meet us!

Red Ribbon Week 2011

Monday kicks off the annual Red Ribbon Week. This is the oldest and largest drug and alcohol prevention program, reaching out to children around the nation. Students at Seabreeze will take part in activites focusing on "Just Saying No" to drugs this week. Each day we will be focusing on the importance of staying drug-free. Please take a look at the Dates to Remember section on the right to see this week's daily themes. Check back throughout the week to see some the things Cottage 2 will do to remember to always stay drug-free!

Fun with Numbers!

We are having so much fun with our Counting and Cardinality activities! Today the boys and girls got to do Shaving Cream Math. They created sets of numbers and wrote their numbers in order from 1-20!

Fall is in the air...and so are pumpkins! The friends in Cottage 2 made their own pumpkin patch, putting numbers in order, counting from 1-20! WAY TO GO!!

Our Lollipop Pumpkin!

Look at our cute and delicious Lollipop Pumpkin! Winsor and her Mommy worked hard to make this wonderful treat for Cottage 2. We look forward to celebrating our wonderful Fall behavior with this yummy decoration!
